Background

Since BL’s inception - on discord “freelancing and internships” channel had 2nd highest number of messages exchanged. On this validation, we launched the BL app with a feed, events section, and a hiring platform for internships and freelance projects in Jan ‘23

In a few months, we had over 100k downloads. The hiring platform was the most used feature. While the D30 retention of overall users stood at ~8%, the D30 retention of users who applied for a gig or uploaded their Proof of Work was at ~33%.

The MVP for the hiring platform was validated and we wanted to double down on it and improve the experience of hiring and applying for a job further.
